8 Things Justice League Must To Do To Get The DCEU Back On Track

5. Show Its Heroes Working As A Team

In 2016, it seemed like it was all the rage to have superheroes pitted against one another. Marvel's Captain America: Civil War found Cap and Iron Man getting in a spat over government regulations, a conflict that felt low stakes and not very consequential to Marvel's overarching storyline.

The DCEU took the opposite approach and loaded its superhero smackdown with so much gravitas that by the end of it Superman wound up dead. While it was neat to see superhero versus superhero slugfests, it's not what superhero teams are really about.

Superheroes using their superpowers in tandem to defeat villains is what drew audiences to the shared universe conceit to begin with. BvS didn't really come alive until its titular heroes teamed up with Wonder Woman to defeat Doomsday. Justice League will need to hit the ground running, showing its team working together as soon as possible so it can get to the good stuff without much preamble.

Hopefully, Snyder will forgo having the team be at odds with each other for the majority of the runtime so audiences can see what they paid for: legendary comic book heroes demonstrating the full range of their powers as a team in battle.
