8 Things Justice League Must To Do To Get The DCEU Back On Track

6. Solve The Pacing Issues

Marvel's movies mostly zip along like clockwork, dispensing thrills and laughs at a pace that keeps audience interest high. The studio only seems to run into pacing issues when it attempts to cater to the needs of its shared universe building, especially in the bloated, disjointed mess that was Avengers: Age of Ultron. This is exactly the same misstep that Snyder made while directing BvS.

BvS had the unenviable task of introducing audiences to a new incarnation of Batman while also creating a compelling reason for Bats to battle Superman. Snyder tried to cram too much story into one film, and oddly enough the feature felt protracted and rushed at certain points. BvS' wonky pacing lacked the propulsive momentum that the best kind of blockbuster filmmaking offers.

Snyder will have to juggle a lot in the Justice League. The team will have to assemble then face off against an earth-threatening supervillain all in one film. Pacing may well be the biggest landmine Snyder needs to sidestep to keep audiences onboard the DC train. Should he turn out another slog that fails to engage moviegoers from the get go, Warner Bros may decide to reboot the whole franchise sooner rather than later.
