8 Things We Want From Halloween Kills
6. A Rest For Laurie Strode
A huge part of the draw of 2018's Halloween was the return of Jamie Lee Curtis as iconic heroine Laurie Strode, a part she had walked away from 16 years earlier. Much ado was made both by the media and fans alike that she would be returning for the "ultimate" and "final" confrontation with Michael Myers.
What a confrontation it was! A very prepared and undaunted Laurie shot, stabbed, bit and gouged her way to victory, setting her house ablaze in the process. However, now that Curtis has been confirmed for both sequels it's evident that confrontation wasn't as "final" as first intended.
So, what of Laurie in Halloween Kills? What will her role be this time? Taking into account that she was almost mortally wounded and the film picks up just moments later, it is hardly feasible that our heroine will be in shape for another "to the death" battle.
Fans have speculated that and hoped that Kills will see Curtis take on more of a supporting role, with the town of Haddonfield rallying behind her. For years she has been the "town crazy" - it would be a refreshing change from the previous entry if she wasn't such a lone warrior this time around.
Will Halloween Kills see Laurie Strode rally the troops from her hospital bed? Here's hoping!
