8 Things You Definitely Won't See In Marvel's Phase 3

6. The Inhumans, Probably

The Inhumans are an odd bunch, and while making a movie featuring the characters might sound difficult on paper, if Marvel Studios can make Guardians of the Galaxy a hit, then this lot shouldn't pose too much of a problem for them. A very long time ago, it was reported that Kevin Feige was approaching the project like Game of Thrones, and as Vin Diesel continues to drop hints that he's been chosen to play Black Bolt, things do look like they're coming together well enough for this late Phase 3 release (there's even been talk of Ant-Man scribe and Anchorman director Adam McKay taking the helm). So, with so much positive news sounding Inhumans, what on Earth is it doing here? Well, if one recent report is to be believe, Marvel has actually decided to scrap it altogether. The reasons for such a drastic move aren't entirely clear, though it's said to ultimately come down to the apparent rift which has developed between Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and Marvel Entertainment CEO Isaac Perlmutter. Feige now reports directly to Disney instead of the frugal Marvel boss and their already rocky relationship apparently reached breaking point when Perlmutter demanded Robert Downey Jr. be fired rather than receive a huge new deal for his Phase 3 appearances. Regardless of the backstage drama, the fact that Inhumans was recently delayed to make room for Ant-Man and The Wasp and the lack of any solid updates definitely cast its future in doubt, especially as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is current delving into the Inhumans concept. As a result, you may not want to get too excited about seeing this one come to fruition in Phase 3.
