2. Black Adam And Doctor Sivana Are His Main Foes
Behind every superhero is a great villain who can best them in some way, and Shazam has two.
Black Adam is the most famous Captain Marvel rogue - he's basically a reverse version of the hero, a former Egyptian slave chosen by the Wizard Shazam as his original champion before Adam went down a darker path.
With enough raw power to go toe to toe with Captain Marvel, Black Adam started out as a stereotypical bad guy with ambitions of world domination, but has since evolved into a complex, almost sympathetic anti-hero.
He only wants to do right by his people, but his methods are far more brutal than what your average hero would employ. This is the version Dwayne Johnson will introduce us to in the movies, with any luck.
Although Black Adam is the definitive Shazam baddie, Doctor Thaddeus Sivana is his oldest foe, debuting in the same comic as Captain Marvel in 1940.
Doctor Sivana is Cap's intellectual superior and a classic mad scientist through and through, although DC has since successfully reinvented the character in the vein of Lex Luthor.
He would be a solid choice for the main villain in the Shazam movie, given that The Rock's Black Adam isn't entering the fray until later.
