8 Times Actors Broke Up On Movie Sets

As One Tree Hill is a series littered with dramatic break-ups and hopeless love triangles, it is strangely suitable that the relationship between two main cast members closely mirrored the trajectory of the show's romantic subplots. The actors in question are of course Chad Michael Murray, who played protagonist Lucas Scott, and Sophia Bush, who played Brooke Davis, one of Lucas' love interests.

After meeting on the set of the teen drama, Murray and Bush began dating, and by April 2005 they were married. However, marital bliss was short-lived for the couple considering that they announced their separation a mere five months later.

It appears that their breakup was not exactly amicable initially, which must have made things pretty uncomfortable on set. Bush filed for annulment on the grounds of fraud the following year, but her petition was dismissed by the courts, meaning that the co-stars had to wait until December 2006 to be granted a divorce.

Throughout divorce proceedings, they continued to work together until Murray's departure from One Tree Hill was announced in 2009. Bush has gone on to have a series of romantic relationships since their divorce, the latest of which is apparently with entrepreneur Grant Hughes. Likewise, Murray married in 2015 and has two children with actress Sarah Roemer.
