The rights to the Marvel characters formerly under the Fox banner have been back home with Marvel Studios for several years now, and fans are still waiting to see them in the MCU. The X-Men have had a Disney+ series confirmed, but what about live action?

WandaVision toyed with fans over the Evan Peters as Pietro casting, but now it seems that the first of Fox’s X-Men characters to truly appear in the MCU will be Professor X in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. This won’t however, be a mind-blowing cinematic moment like the return of Andrew Garfield or Tobey Garfield, as it has already been confirmed by the trailer.

Let’s be honest, after No Way Home we now live in a world where ANYTHING can happen in the MCU. There was enough already going on in the trailer, and plenty of theories, rumours, and buzz around the sequel that such a huge moment in the MCU didn’t need to be spoiled. People would have flocked to see the Multiverse of Madness anyway, and such a monumental moment should have been kept as a surprise for the cinema.

Even since the trailer in which Patrick Stewart’s voice can be heard, the actor is trying to deny his involvement in the movie. What was the point in including what was CLEARLY Professor X’s voice, only for the actor himself to continue denying it?
