Outside of both Infinity War and Endgame, Spider-Man: No Way Home was the MCU movie with the biggest risk of spoilers being leaked. Simply, this was because of the appearances of Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Charlie Cox.

It was the worst kept secret in movie history that the previous Spider-Men would be returning, alongside the likes of Alfred Molina, Jamie Foxx, and Willem Dafoe, but Marvel still did everything they could to avoid confirmation of Maguire and Garfield returning. Well, almost everything.

In one of the No Way Home trailers there was a scene in which Tom Holland’s lone Spider-Man charged into battle against Electro, Sandman, and Lizard. However, in a Brazilian version of the trailer, there was slightly more footage shown, which completely ruined the fact that someone, most likely a Spider-Man, had been edited out of the scene.

As Lizard lurched forward, he reacted as though he had been hit, with his head snapping around after an invisible contact. As if it wasn’t already, this made it even more painfully obvious that Marvel were trying to hide the returning Spider-Men, and they weren’t doing a great job.
