8 Top Euro Cult Actors

6. Ian McCulloch

Ian Mculloch Ian McCulloch is a Scottish actor best known for starring in Survivors - a 1970s British television drama about a bunch of people who survive an apocalyptic plague. This series has reached cult status and McCulloch went on to make even more cult viewing in the Euro Horror arena. He had a major starring role in Lucio Fulci's zombie film classic - Zombie Flesh Eaters - as a reporter called Peter West who goes to investigate the dodgy happenings on a Caribbean island where the dead are apparently coming to life. McCulloch also had a role in the eminently forgettable Zombie Holocaust and another role in Luigi Cozzi's Contamination - an Italian rip off of Alien. Ian McCulloch sadly left the world of Euro Cult pretty much as soon as he had entered it. He returned to British television screens in a number of starring roles including Bergerac, Dr Who, Taggart, Dempsey and Makepeace and Poirot. However, we will always remember him dodging aliens and zombies in the world of Euro Cult Horror.

My first film watched was Carrie aged 2 on my dad's knee. Educated at The University of St Andrews and Trinity College Dublin. Fan of Arthouse, Exploitation, Horror, Euro Trash, Giallo, New French Extremism. Weaned at the bosom of a Russ Meyer starlet. The bleaker, artier or sleazier the better!
