7. Where Was Captain Marvel? - Avengers: Infinity War

The Question: Infinity War's post-credits scene saw Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) desperately firing off a pager distress call to Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), but considering that Carol Danvers isn't seen throughout the movie, where exactly was she when the pager message was sent?

Prediction: Clearly this was a very intentional mystery and one that's presumably going to be revealed at the end of Captain Marvel.

Some of the more common fan theories include Carol being in stasis in space with the pager message waking her up, or her possibly residing in another dimension when the snap goes down.

The most compelling theory of all was hinted at by Marvel Studios honcho Kevin Feige, who confirmed that the Quantum Realm will figure in Captain Marvel's story, and so could very well explain why she's not around in the present day for Thanos' (Josh Brolin) rampage.

Could Carol have travelled to the past, perhaps via a time vortex in the Quantum Realm, and Fury's pager call will urge her to return to the present? Wait and see.
