8 Underrated Disney Film Songs From The '90s
6. Arabian Nights - Aladdin
Aladdin is always remembered for one thing above all others, Robin Williams' Genie. He's the best friend that we all wished we had and his songs are nothing but absorbing. Even as adults it's hard not to sing along. However, putting that aside, who remembers the film's opening song, Arabian Nights?
Arabian Nights is grand in its vigour and lyrically imposes what story lays ahead. It has a great swelling of chorus and really captures the mood of the film before it had even really started.
Before we're introduced to the songs that made the film famous, such as Friend Like Me, or A Whole New World, Arabain Nights is our starters line.
Most who love the film will be able to remember the song if they hear the melody playing and see the visual landscape that is put forth in the opening, it's just that the rest of the film just got better and better, so Arabian Nights falls into the background.
It wasn't actually performed by Williams either, as is the belief among some. No, it was actually credited to Bruce Adler.
