8 Upcoming Movie Sequels Destined To Fail

7. Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them 3

Right now, the Fantastic Beasts property has an extremely bad taste to it.

The major issue here revolves around comments earlier this year from J.K. Rowling. In a move that rightly had many lashing out in disappointment, dismay, or just outright anger at the Harry Potter author, Rowling made some horrendous comments in regards to sex and gender issues.

For so many who have long championed J.K. Rowling, this has completely soured them on the hugely successful author. And as such, this will clearly have turned a good percentage of people away from having any interest in anything that Rowling has even a passing involvement in - such as Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 3, which has recently been moved back to July 2022.

Elsewhere, there has also been a backlash to Johnny Depp having been just last month asked to step down from his Fantastic Beasts role of Gellert Grindelwald by Warner Bros. following the fallout of his and Amber Heard's court battles.

Regardless of where you stand on either the J.K. Rowling or Johnny Depp issues, it's hard to see how the third Fantastic Beasts movie can be a success right now.
