8 Upcoming Movie Sequels Destined To Fail

1. No Time To Die

Whether critics and fans alike enjoy No Time to Die or not, it unfortunately looks like the movie is destined to fail in the area that really matters - that being its box office haul.

Of course, No Time to Die was originally due to be released this past April. Given how 2020 has played out, the 25th James Bond picture was pushed back and pushed back, with the film currently scheduled for April 2021.

The problem is, even the most optimistic of experts don't see the world getting back to a state of any semi-normalcy until the second half of next year. Where that plays into the movie industry, that means that any upcoming offerings set for a big-screen release are likely to get hit hard in the pocket.

As has been seen this year, studios have been left with the conundrum of either putting their heavy hitters straight to a Digital release, giving them extremely limited cinema runs, or delaying said movies until next year in the hope that somehow cinemas can once again be packed full of eager customers who are willing to hand over their money.

With No Time to Die having cost a reported $250 million to make, right now it seems impossible to think that MGM will make anywhere even close to that money back, let alone turn a profit. And in Hollywood, success is largely measured in dollars and cents - meaning No Time to Die is facing an uphill battle to be anything but a failure.
