As per tradition, the third instalment in the Cloverfield series is cloaked in mystery, but it's hardly lacking in intrigue.
God Particle promises to take things full sci-fi-horror, following a group of astronauts as they toy around with a particle accelerator in space. Naturally, that doesn't turn out well for them, but who'd have thought it could go awry to the extent where the Earth vanishes? Try explaining that one to ground control.
When a space shuttle appears, the crew, which includes David Oyelowo, Elizabeth Debicki and Chris O'Dowd, end up fighting for their lives against an unnamed threat.
That's the extent of what's been revealed about the plot, but no doubt the fans are keen to find out how whether God Particle explains the origin of that monster in the original Cloverfield, or the attacks on the US in 10 Cloverfield Lane.
