8 Villains For The MCU Spider-Man (And Who Should Play Them)

1. Norman Osborn - Bryan Cranston

This is far from the first time that Bryan Cranston has been linked with the character of Norman Osborn. If fans were in control of casting, then Cranston would have been the first name Marvel signed up for their new Spider-Man film. Still, the actor is so right for the part that the more he is talked about the more likely it is that the studio will take notice and snap Cranston up Rather than yet another version of the Green Goblin, the MCU should utilise Norman Osborn in a style similar to more recent comics. Osborn has developed from just another bad guy in a mask to a villain more in line with DC's Lex Luthor; a corrupt businessman who often comes into conflict with the Avengers in his quests for power. He even once led his own team of Dark Avengers! If you have ever seen Breaking Bad, you don't need me to tell you that Cranston would be perfectly suited to this sort of villain... There are even pretty high chances of this occurring as Cranston has said that he would like to play a "big superhero villain in some Marvel classic." However, he did also say that he wants to play one "create from scratch." Still, if Kevin Feige and co can convince him to let that stipulation slide then we really could be about to see this happen. Do you have a different preferred actor to play a Spider-Man villain than the one we've named? Leave your ideas in the comments!
