8 Ways Batman V Superman Could Be A Total Let Down
8. They're Only Going To Fight Twice Before Becoming Pals
It's a time honoured tradition in comic books that when two heroes first meet, they end up fighting each other before inevitably teaming up. That's understandably going to be the case in Batman v Superman, but it doesn't sound as if the fights between these two are going to take up an awful lot of screentime. In fact, they'll only be clashing twice in the movie! Their first confrontation will come when the Man Of Steel tracks down Batman, while the second will see a better prepared Caped Crusader armour up and bring Superman to Gotham City by shining the Batsignal into the sky. Who knows how long each face-off will last, but the fact that a movie titled Batman v Superman is only going to feature two battles is definitely a major disappointment Chances are that their first clash won't last all that long, and even if the second runs for ten to twenty minutes, that's not really going to make a huge impact in a two hour plus movie. While this is being sold as a Batman v Superman movie, it's going to be anything but. Yes, they'll fight, but they could have done that in a release titled Batman & Superman. The fact is, the main narrative is likely not going to revolve around the two heroes going to war, thereby making "Batman v Superman" somewhat of a misleading name for this film. As the "Dawn of Justice" subtitle should make clear, Batman v Superman is more about the formation of the Justice League than it is the battle between the two titular heroes. While that certainly has its plus points - as does the satisfaction of seeing these two icons standing side by side as partners - it's hard to imagine being able to escape the feeling of being let down when they put their differences aside after fighting twice and the final act isn't an epic clash between them, but against a greater threat instead. Why not just save that for Justice League?
