8 Ways Batman V Superman Could Be A Total Let Down

With Civil War on the way, Kevin Feige shouldn't lose any sleep over this potential trainwreck.

With the way a lot of fans are gushing over Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, it seems they've forgotten that Man Of Steel was something of a disappointment. Promoted as Superman's Batman Begins, it was a movie with lush visuals, awesome action scenes, a cracking score, and a terrible story courtesy of regular comic book movie hack David S. Goyer. While Batman v Superman has the advantage of having Argo's Chris Terrio on writing duties, there's nothing to say he'll find success with a superhero project as plenty of writers and directors have crashed and burned when it came to moving into this genre (just look at what happened with Josh Trank). Zack Snyder meanwhile has a solid enough track record, but he too can be a little hit and miss. Despite all of that, Batman v Superman is shaping up to be something great... at least on the surface. The footage and images released from the movie have all impressed so far, while Warner Bros. have assembled one hell of a cast that rivals any one of Marvel's impressive ensembles. None of that guarantees this movie won't be a major disappointment though, and there are a number of key issues that suggest this highly anticipated release will ultimately fail to live up to its own hype. Here, I take a look at the eight biggest reasons why Batman v Superman could end up being a real let down for fans. Between the officially released material, a plethora of interviews, and all those very interesting spoiler and rumours doing the rounds, it's clear a lot could go wrong. If so, prepare to bid the DC Extended Universe adieu before it's even begun...
