8 Ways Infinity War Could Affect Netflix's Marvel Universe
3. Magic Gathering
Even with a less than stellar debut into Netflix, Iron Fist opened up some interesting aspects of the Netflix Marvel universe that, up until that point, had only been briefly touched upon in Daredevil. Magic, even if not the mind-bending reality-warping kind we saw in Doctor Strange's solo film, has played a significant role in Netflix since then, and will again in the future.
It's clear from the trailer that Strange, the MCU's resident master of the mystic arts, will be playing a big role in Infinity War. With the Hulk crashing through his ceiling and Thanos' eventual hunt for the Infinity Stone in the Eye of Agamotto, it's even clearer that the Sorcerer Supreme won't be coming out of the event entirely unscathed. One of the major casualties of the war looks to be Strange's Sanctum, and the many magical items housed within.
Having Danny Rand, newly-minted street hero of New York, step up in Daredevil's absence, hunting down artefacts from the Sanctum scattered all over the city, would be a treat. Even more so if he ropes his new Defenders buddies into helping him, or works with Strange himself (if not the sorcerer's proxy), as in the comics.
