8 Ways Suicide Squad Improved On Batman V Superman
7. The Action Was More Exciting
A big screen punch-up between Superman and Batman is the stuff nerd dreams are made of, and it’s baffling it took so long to come together. The actual fight between them was good fun, with everything including the bathroom sink being thrown in. It took an awfully long time to get there, though, and the action scenes throughout the film were hit and miss.
The Batmobile chase had nothing on The Dark Knight, and the Doomsday fight was just a blur of noise. Suicide Squad – in keeping with David Ayer’s style – keeps things relatively grounded, with lots of gunfights and hand to hand combat. It's more exciting to see heroes who have to struggle to survive and aren’t able to fly through buildings, and the action is punchy and well edited.
The gooey zombie things that serve Enchantress are little more than video game fodder of course, but for the purposes of the story, they do just fine in that role.
