8 Weirdest Accidents On The Sets Of Films

5. Tom Cruise - Mission Impossible: Fallout

Tom Cruise is insane. That's not a personal belief, nor is it in any way related to his religious beliefs. Tom Cruise is off his rocker because, unlike most Hollywood actors, he regularly forces himself into performing stunts that even the most seasoned of stunt people would think twice about doing.

During the shoot of Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, he climbed the outside of Dubai's tallest building without the assistance of a stunt double. Similarly in Mission Impossible 2, he climbed a 2,000-foot cliff with only a little rope to stop him from plummeting to his immediate death.

Then there's the scene in Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation where he hung off the side of a plane with only a thin wire to support him... as the plane was in flight. For eight minutes. At 1,000 feet.

Funnily enough, his least dangerous stunt on the set of Mission Impossible: Fallout is the one that actually hurt him. Cruise had to jump a gap for a scene and broke his ankle against the side of a building. The shot where Cruise breaks his ankle is actually the shot they left in the film, and if you look closely you can see him writhe in pain.
