9 Actors Who Helped Movies In Ways You Won't Believe

7. Eva Longoria Was A Silent Producer - John Wick

When you think of Eva Longoria, your first associations might be her star-making role on Desperate Housewives or her recent appearance in Dora and the Lost City of Gold, but most likely not the John Wick franchise.

In one of the most random credits you're ever likely to find, Longoria was in fact a producer on the original John Wick. Though producers often have a hands-on role during a movie's production, in Longoria's case that apparently wasn't so.

On the film's home video commentary, directors Chad Stahelski and David Leitch stated that they've never met Longoria, though "thank her for writing a check."

Evidently the actress' role in the movie's creation was purely financial, investing some money on the promise of a tasty return while leaving the filmmakers to their own devices to get it made.

And so, we have her to thank in part for bankrolling one of the few truly great action franchises of the last decade.
