Big 2015 Films: The Voices, Woman In Gold, Mississippi Grind Ryan Reynolds' return to form (or, more accurately, reaching the heights people pretended he did before) will really come to fruition next year with Deadpool, which looks set to give him his own unique superhero franchise and push the already-forgettable X-Men Origins: Wolverine even more out of people's memories. But 2015's already been a solid year for the actor, seeing him put in some hard graft in character pieces to try and "do a Tatum" and show he's not just a pretty face. Most prominently in Mississippi Grind, but also in the I-guess-it-was-alright Woman In Gold, he showed an off-kilter approach to being a leading man, and The Voices, which finally got its release after wowing Sundance last year, gave him a cult hit that'll hopefully become more seen as its notoriety, and his star, rises. None of these are major releases, but what's remarkable is how they're all at least average and Reynolds performances all had something more to them. After recent years including Green Lantern, R.I.P.D. and Safe House, that's a major set up. Just don't mention Self/Less. Oh, you didn't see it? Good.
