They say nice guys finish last, and that's basically what happened to Paul Rudd after he filmed a bit part for Paul Feig's hit comedy Bridesmaids.
The Ant-Man star portrayed a douchebag named Dave who takes Kristen Wiig's character on an iceskating date from hell, but their awkward liaison didn't make it beyond a handful of test screenings.
Feig is said to have been happy with the sequence, so what the ruddy hell was the problem? Apparently the test audiences didn't buy Rudd as a complete jerk, seen as he comes across as so nice in most of his other films.
We get that Rudd is a decent bloke, but he's not going to turn into Ramsay Bolton overnight after playing a slightly unsavory type in a single scene of a movie.
