6. Scarlet Witch - Mind Control

While we don't have the ability to plant images or dreams in someone's mind like Scarlet Witch, we may soon be able to control a person's mind with a transcranial pulsed ultrasound. DARPA has been researching this technology since 2010, using ultrasound frequencies in a soldier's helmet to relieve battle stress and fatigue, relieve pain and even prevent traumatic brain injuries.

Doctors are still working with this kind of technology to measure brain activity and respond to changes, for controlling neurological conditions like Parkinson's, muscle tremors, mental illnesses like depression, and addiction.

We're (thankfully) a long way off from Wanda Maximoff's level of mind control, but the technology is there and could potentially improve the lives of the millions of people that live with neurological conditions every year.
