9 Avengers: Endgame Powers That Are Actually Real, Thanks To Tech

7. Vision - Man and Machine

The Vision
Marvel Studios

While Vision was the combination of Tony Stark's AI Jarvis and the Mind Stone, we might not be too far off from being able to put human brains inside robotic bodies. Three scientists are working toward transplanting a human brain into a robotic prosthesis and believe they'll be able to successfully complete this transplant in the next 30 years.

This may be a more viable option than copying and uploading our thought patterns into an artificial brain, and we've already made some progress to turn this science fiction into reality. In 2017, scientists put a worm's brain into a Lego body - and it worked! The robot allegedly behaved in ways similar to the worm - it moved forward when its food sensor was stimulated, and backward when its 'nose' detected danger or an obstacle.

This advancement could also pave the way for human-like AI like Vision. The more we understand about the human brain, the easier it will be to replicate in an AI system.
