9 Awesome Deleted Scenes From The Dark Knight Trilogy

3. Unused Footage & Alternate Takes From The Dark Knight

Anyone who followed the intense marketing for The Dark Knight knows that there are many alternate takes and bits of footage that never made it in the film. While none of it adds up to anything substantial, it is still fascinating to see different versions and minor extensions of scenes that already exist. Some of these include more footage of the Tumbler, Batman running across the tops of cop cars, unused establishing shots of the Chicago skyline, and a ton of alternate camera angles. Curiously enough, it appears the character with the most alternate takes is Heath Ledger's Joker. Considering Ledger's unique vocal inflections and the chaotic nature of the character, this is not the least bit surprising. Again, it doesn't add up to much, but The Dark Knight doesn't have much in the way of actual deleted material available for viewing, making this very valuable. For anyone who was ever obsessed with The Dark Knight, all of these alternate takes, especially of the Joker, are all the more cherished because of their scarcity. This is all you will likely ever get in terms of extra material, at least for the foreseeable future, so even a brief peek is worth checking out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b25d7Mjm5C8
