6. Nova Takes The Role Of The Silver Surfer

In spite of its title, most people are expecting Avengers: Infinity War to be more closely based on the Infinity Gauntlet comic book arc than the Infinity War comic book arc, but there are some key characters from Infinity Gauntlet who simply aren't available for Marvel Studios to use in a movie. One of those missing characters is the Silver Surfer. In the Infinity Gauntlet comic book arc, the Surfer was the one who arrived on Earth to warn Doctor Strange of the imminent threat of Thanos, but his movie rights are with Fox, so someone will have to take his place. Fans have theorised that the hero in question could be Nova AKA Richard Rider. The theory suggests that Thanos will take the Orb Infinity Stone from Xandar - where the Nova Corps are based - and destroy the planet, leaving only one survivor. That survivor will be Rider and he will head back to his home planet to warn its inhabitants that the Mad Titan could threaten the entire universe and recruit its heroes to help to combat him.
