9 Awesome Remakes Of Terrible Movies

8. Ocean's Eleven

Captain America
Warner Bros.

The Original: A star vehicle for the Rat Pack – including Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin - to hang out together and get paid for the privilege, the first Ocean’s Eleven is an unforgivably lazy heist comedy.

It plods along and relies on the charms of the cast, who aren’t exactly giving it their best effort. The central heist lacks any tension, and overall the movie is too laid-back for its own good.

The Remake: The revamped Ocean’s Eleven took the original idea and actually did something fun with it. The cast – including George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and about a million others – work effortlessly together, Steven Soderbergh’s direction is slick and the tone is light and breezy.

The film just wants you to sit back and have a good time. It’s not especially deep, but it sure is a lot of fun.
