9 Awesome Villains For A Guardians Of The Galaxy Sequel

6. A Herald Of Galactus

Okay, bear with us here... Fox certainly own the rights to Galactus and the Silver Surfer at the moment and that makes this a complicated thing to consider. Characters connected to Galactus in the same way the Silver Surfer is (i.e. Galactus' Heralds) will also, most likely, be tied up with Fox - although it's not something that is widely discussed. However, mutants - as a general concept - are also tied up with Fox and yet Marvel Studios have managed to use both Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, because of the fact that they are also connected to the Avengers, simply by giving them different origins (it seems they are being called "miracles" in the Marvel Cinematic Universe). With that in mind, could it be possible that Marvel Studios decide to use a different Herald of Galactus by simply giving the character's origins a different name? Galactus is a character who is strongly associated with the Guardians of the Galaxy in the comics - particularly the earlier incarnation of the group - and if Marvel Studios were to acquire one of the more obscure Heralds (like Red Shift or Morg the Executioner), then re-name Galactus "the Devourer of Worlds" or something along those lines, it may be plausible that they could work around the rights issue to bring him to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It's a hugely optimistic notion that anything like this could ever happen, but seeing a version of Galactus created by the studio who rarely get anything wrong when it comes to comic book movies would be superb - and having the Guardians of the Galaxy trying to prevent an inhabited planet from being prepared for destruction by a Herald would be great.
