8. Colour Out Of Space

If you were a fan of Mandy and Annihilation last year, you're in for a treat soon, because Nic Cage is reteaming with the producers of the former to make a new film adaptation of the source material the latter was heavily based on. He is set to star in a third official adatpation of HP Lovecraft's Color Out Of Space, which Annihilation drew a lot from.

The film will be directed by award-winning film-maker Richard Stanley, who hasn't made a non-documentary feature since he was fired part-way through making The Island of Dr Moreau.

The rest of the cast is made up by Joely Richardson, Tommy Chong, Elliot Knight, Julian Hilliard and Q’Orianka Kilcher. They will all combine to tell the story of the Gardners, a family who move to a remote New England farm to get away from the modern world and see their life turned upside down by a meteor that infects everything with a strange, otherworldly color and mutates every life-form it touches.

Principal photography begins next month.
