9 Bond Women That 007 Didn't Actually Sleep With

8. Paula Caplan - Thunderball

One can only feel sorry for Paula Caplan, the subordinate for 007 who does all she can to aid Bond in his mission to save the world, while receiving minimal assistance herself. While dying on the job is something that can be considered a workplace hazard in the world of spy films, the manner of her demise is particularly brutal.

The situation is made all the worse by the fact that Caplan seems to have Bond's back, but the same can not be said in return. As Bond somehow makes love with the villain's wife underwater, Caplan returns back to their apartment to see a well dressed woman standing before her, claiming that she is ready to go on a date with Bond.

Before she can realise what is truly going on, Caplan is taken hostage by SPECTRE henchmen, with no-one even realising she's missing until later in the film. In one last heroic act, Caplan takes a cyanide pill rather than reveal Bond's plans, a brutal but brave act that is not emphasised as much as it should be.

While he likes to know himself as the 'thunder from down under', Luke is actually just a big dork who loves all things sport, film, James Bond, Doctor Who and Karaoke. With all the suave and sophistication of any Aussie half way through a slab, Luke will critique every minute detail of films and shows from all eras- unless it's 1990's Simpsons episodes, because they're just perfect
