9 Cheesy 90s Action Films That Were Secretly Awesome

9. The Chase (1994)

In an attempt to avoid a life sentence, Charlie Sheen kidnaps Kristy Swanson with a candy bar. A high speed chase ensues, documented by a Cops style TV show featuring officer Henry Rollins. Local vigilantes Flea and Anthony Keidis join in the fun with their Monster Van. Turn off your brain, don't think, just enjoy the ride. Of course, as in any good terrible movie, Ms. Swanson falls for her erstwhile kinapper after getting to know him. She's feeling oppressed by the restrictions and expectations of her rich and powerful daddy. He's feeling oppressed by the possibility of, you know, life in prison. Sparks fly. They proceed to "get to know each other" while traveling 90 miles an hour down the highway with the cops in hot pursuit. Yes, you read that right. In 1994, almost two decades before his epic meltdown, Charlie Sheen had "relations" with Kristy Swanson while driving a BMW at high speeds while being chased by police. Tiger Blood indeed.
