9 Fan Service Moments Everyone Wants In Upcoming Movies

3. A Lynda Carter Homage - Wonder Woman 1984

If you were to tell a comic fan ten years ago that DCs cinematic universe would have been brought back from the critical graveyard by Shazam and Wonder Woman, they'd have called you crazy.

But that is exactly what happened, and DC can thank it's lucky stars that Wonder Woman was as impressive as it was, and that maybe giving characters with little to no representation in the mainstream is a more than worthwhile endeavour.

The announcement of a Wonder Woman sequel in the form of the upcoming Wonder Woman 1984 (guess when it's set) was expected but still-pleasing news for fans, and seeing as Director Patty Jenkins tried her damndest to find a place for a tribute to the 1970s Wonder Woman TV show in the first movie, fans could have a lot more to look forward to than just more of Gal Gadot's Diana Prince in the sequel.

A show as iconic as Linda Carter's Wonder Woman is overflowing with images and themes that have rooted themselves deep in the public consciousness. Be it a spinning transformation into costume or the incorporation of the famous theme song a reference to the TV show is guaranteed to fill audiences with wonder (Had to do it.)
