9 Female DC Superheroes Who Also Deserve Solo Movies
6. Raven
Whilst traditionally a member of the Teen Titans, Raven probably has the most potential for a solo outing than anyone else in her team (even more than Cyborg, who is still scheduled to get a solo movie as of writing, but he's now more associated with Justice League anyways). With a multitude of abilities including the power to manipulate darkness itself to her whim, she is a powerful and often underestimated force within the DC Universe.
As the daughter of the demon Trigon, Raven gives us an always fascinating background for a superhero: the child of a villain. This gives her an interesting dichotomy regarding her allegiance, as she has been known to turn to the side of evil on occasion, and exploring those mixed feelings would be an interesting twist on the traditional hero's journey. Whether first introduced solo or through a Titans movie, Raven deserves a place within this growing franchise.
Now the obvious place to go for Raven is where you go for any solid Teen Titans action: the 2003 animated series, which still lives on through the Teen Titans Go! shorts. For a more serious take, you could take a look at some of the recent direct-to-video Teen Titans animated films, or wait for the live-action Titans TV show where she has been confirmed a part of the line-up.
But your best bet with Raven is to check out classic Titans comics from the Wolfman/Perez era and see the character at her full potential.
