9 Female DC Superheroes Who Also Deserve Solo Movies

5. Miss Martian

Catwoman Comics
DC Comics

Setting up the adorkable Megan Morse without first introducing fan favourite Martian Manhunter into the universe would be a risky move, but it isn't out of the realms of possibility. She possesses the same strength and shapeshifting abilities as her uncle, but her sweet and fun-loving nature is a stark contrast to J'onn J'onzz's stoicism and could bring some more much-needed fun into the DCEU.

As a teenager (well, actually she's around fifty in human years, but don't think about that too hard), Miss Martian could be an interesting character to build a high school-set superhero movie in the vein of Spider-Man: Homecoming.

With Megan being a White Martian (a generally maligned sub-species of the Martian race) pretending to be a Green Martian pretending to be a human, she also opens up the potential for commentary on race relations and teenage identity issues within the context of a superhero movie. Deep stuff, right?

If you want to fall in love with Miss Martian, the easy way to do that is just watch Young Justice, where she constantly steals the show with her unending sweetness and charm, and she's also recently made her live-action debut on Supergirl.
