9 Female Marvel Heroes Who Desperately Deserve An MCU Movie

Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie was one of Thor: Ragnarok's standout characters, and a prime contender to take a place on the Avengers if the team is due a reshuffle after the fourth film releases.

Not only that, if a reshuffle is on the cards for Marvel's individual franchises too, then Valkyrie must surely be in contention to lead the Thor series going forward. While Chris Hemsworth looks more likely than others to stick around the MCU for the fore(Thor?)seeable future, if he is due to leave, then Marvel have to make sure the character's universe doesn't go to waste.

Already a firm favourite among fans after her strong introduction in the latest Thor film, Thompson's Valkyrie possesses all the trappings of a truly brilliant series lead, one that could serve as the key Asgardian connection between the Avengers and the Nine Realms as well as the MCU's cosmic influences too.

Oh, and Marvel, be sure to acknowledge her bisexuality this time around. You're letting down your LGBT* fans every time you don't.
