Adam Robitel's The Talking of Deborah Logan is a found footage movie that sheds some light on a topic that's sadly impacted so many people. That, of course, is dementia - or, to be specific in this case, Alzheimer's.

While The Taking of Deborah Logan certainly hits a nerve for those who have ever dealt with any form of dementia, the picture also offers up trauma and terrors in the form of possession and the the dark arts.

For the struggling Deborah, we eventually find out that she is possessed by the spirit of Henri Desjardins - a deceased doctor who had attempted to become immortal by ritually cannibalising five young girls.

Desjardins 'only' managed to kill four of his intended five victims, but his intended fifth was Deborah's daughter Sarah. After learning of this, Jill Larson's character killed the doc and buried his body in order to protect her offspring. Nowadays, though, the Desjardins-possessed Deborah is intent on taking young cancer patient Cara as his final victim, in turn granting him immortality.

By the end of the picture, Deborah has unwillingly killed several people, and a final shot suggests that Desjardins was successful in now possessing the body of Cara. All in all, that means you're have a dementia-ravaged woman with blood on her hands, and a youngster whose life has been stolen away as she now finds herself seemingly possessed.
