7. The Falcon
The Falcon (Sam Wilson to his mates) is Steve Rogers second BFF, and they’ve made a great buddy duo since his introduction in The Winter Soldier. On this basis he’s unlikely to get a solo outing because he works best when paired with Captain America, but also because – bizarrely enough - Anthony Mackie has seemingly ruled out the idea.
In an interview he broached the concept, stating he hates the idea of not working with his co-stars. He doesn’t think the character is especially strong without his avenging buddies around him, and he doesn’t want to be front and centre.
While the character is well-liked fans aren’t really screaming out for a Falcon movie, so unless Sam eventually takes over the Captain America mantle (like he does in the comics), it’s doubtful Mackie will front a Marvel movie alone.
Which he’s probably thankful about.
