1. People Just Seem To Be Rooting For The DC Cinematic Universe To Fail
This is a harsh truth if ever there was one. Sorry, DC. Have you noticed, then, this strange sense that with the DC Cinematic Universe, movie-goers are actually rooting for the whole thing to fail? Have you felt that lingering feeling that seems to suggest that audiences are just waiting for the DC Cinematic Universe to crumble? There's little to no good will surrounding the franchise, is there? What's going on? Because there is a clear and noticeable backlash regarding the DC Cinematic Universe, and there's only been one movie to date. There's a horribly negative vibe that meets every glimpse of footage or new trailer; every move made on the part of these upcoming films seems to be met with scrutiny and negativity in a way that other superhero films just aren't. People seem to want Ben Affleck to fail; they want Jared Leto's Joker to fall by the wayside; they want to be able to laugh and say: "Nice try, DC. You screwed up." Why? Is it too soon, perhaps? Is it too soon for all these superhero reboots? Is Hollywood big enough for two cinematic universes? It appears not, going by the way that these movies have been received so far. And whether DC or Warner Bros. are willing to admit it or not, the truth is that the world is against the franchise... which, of course, makes it even harder for the studio to succeed. And so, as is often the case, the harshest truth is also the saddest. Like this article? Which harsh truths do you think that DC need to admit to or come face to face with?
