2. Indy Takes Advantage Of Underage Girls
During Raiders of the Lost Ark we discover that prior to the events depicted in the film, Indy and Marion had a whirlwind romance when he was 25 and she was 17. While the legality of this depends on what state this affair took place in, we get the feeling that Marion Ravenwood was supremely PO'ed about Dr. Jones' love 'em and leave 'em attitude. While the age difference isn't that big of a deal (although it could've been*), it's pretty obvious that the smooth talking Indy charmed his way into her bed for some teenage coital action without any intention of making an honest woman out of her. It's no surprise that the next time we see her she's downing shots in some frozen tundra. We can also infer that Indy's relationship with Marion's father, Dr. Abner Ravenwood, suffered an immense blow due to Indy's inability to keep his bullwhip in his pants. Although Marion and Indy reconcile by the end of Raiders, it becomes apparent that Indy's unwillingness to settle down and hang up his fedora results in the relationship ending a second time. It's also possible that a bitter Marion, jilted for the last time, neglects to inform Indy about his own son although if my son ended up being Shia LaBeouf, I might want to be left in the dark as well. *Originally, Spielberg and Lucas intended for Indiana Jones to be a full on pedophile. During a brainstorming session for Raiders, they tossed around the idea of making Marion 12-years old when Indy began his relationship with her. Lucas insisted that the character shouldn't be more than fifteen, claiming that if she were any older it wouldn't be interesting anymore."
