9 Horror Movie Villains We ALL Foolishly Thought Had WON

7. "Bill" - Body Bags

When it comes to anthology efforts, 1982's Creepshow set the bar. And while John Carpenter and Tobe Hooper's Body Bags doesn't quite match what George A. Romero served up with Creepshow, there are still plenty of positives to take from this '93 collection of horror shorts.

In the first of these offerings, audiences were served up The Gas Station.

This tale focusses on college student Anne (Alex Datcher) starting her first shift - a night shift, of course - at a 24-hour gas station. As she takes over where co-worker Bill (Robert Carradine) left off, she's reminded by the departing Bill that an escaped serial killer is on the loose.

With tensions high, Anne is put through the ringer as the night goes on; culminating in finding a murdered homeless man, the murdered real Bill, and the realisation that the "Bill" Anne had earlier met is in fact said escaped killer.

Given the oft-macabre nature of horror anthologies - not to mention the desolate, desperate setting of The Gas Station - it was a no-brainer that "Bill" was to win out and add yet another victim to his list.

Thankfully, the shock return of a previous customer saves Anne, distracting the killer and allowing her to crush his head with a vehicle lift.
