9 Horror Movies Everyone Remembers For One Scene

7. It: Chapter One - Meeting Pennywise

The first half of It's recent movie adaptation sparked a new interest in horror movie among the younger generation.

While its story is familiar to many - an evil entity that can take the form of its victims worst fears rises every 27 years to kill as many children as possible - this latest spin on it was decidedly better put-together than its 1990 miniseries counterpart.

Given a big Hollywood budget and a cast of highly talented child stars, It: Chapter One proved that Stephen King's stories still have an awful lot of money making potential, as well as a few good scares up their sleeves.

The movie's most iconic moment is our first real encounter with Pennywise the Clown. When the rain carries young Georgie's boat away and into a storm drain, he kneels to find it, only to meet Pennywise. After tempting Georgie to reach in for his boat, Pennywise pulls the boy into the sewer, never to be seen again.

It was one hell of a way to introduce Bill SkarsgÄrd's Pennywise, and it was easily the most quotable, memorable scene of the movie. Even if you were to never watch It again, the movie's opening scene will stay with you forever.
