6. 28 Weeks Later - Could You Leave Your Wife To Die To Save Yourself?
All sorts of sh*t goes down in the opening of 28 Days Later. Hiding out in a remote farmhouse where all seems well, Don and his ragtag group of survivors settle themselves down in the aftermath of the rage virus outbreak, getting a solid couple of minutes of peace in before their world is flipped upside down by an invading horde of the infected.
Ripping through the house and its inhabitants in no time at all, Don is faced with one of the most daunting snap decisions someone can be faced with - attempt to save his wife and likely die trying, or let let her get torn apart whilst he flees for his life. Life or wife baby, that's what it all boils down to.
In fairness, she has gone to save some random kid and gotten cornered in an impossible situation, making Don's choice to get the hell out of there hardly that reprehensible. It's a breakaway moment that makes you really assess how you'd handle such a daunting situation, and if 'til death do us part' means that much when zombies are on the cards. They should really sort something out in the vows for that.
