9 Implications Of Disney Potentially Buying Fox
4. Aliens And Predator Films Under A Different Label
There are a number of films in the Fox stable that are very un-Disney, the Alien and Predator franchises being good examples.
Since extraterrestrial lifeforms bursting from people's chests and corpses being skinned alive aren't really in keeping with House of Mouse values, further instalments in these lucrative franchises are unlikely to be issued under the Disney label.
The studio has traditionally released more mature films under the Touchstone Pictures banner, although not quite as often since the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise exploded onto the scene in 2003.
Future Alien and Predator movies could potentially be released under the Touchstone label if Disney was to acquire these franchises, but the company might also choose to launch another subsidiary for them, given their graphic nature and adult content.
Alternately, the company could offload brands that are especially far removed from its ethos like these two, or more likely, license them out to other studios so they can continue raking in profits from them.
