9 Incredible Movie Scenes Let Down By Awful Acting

8. The Dark Knight Rises - Talia Al Ghul's Death Scene

The Dark Knight Trilogy is almost perfect but if we are going to poke holes, look no better than the final installment.

While we could dissect some glaring plot-holes in The Dark Knight Rises, let's look at a crucial moment in which the secret baddie Miranda Tate aka Talia Al-Ghul meets her end after Batman forgets his no-kill policy once again.

After liberating Gotham City from Bane, Batman follows the fleeing Talia in his spaceship through the city streets and causes the truck carrying an atomic bomb to crash into an underpass. Talia is fatally wounded, and before she dies she delivers a cliche villain monologue to the main characters.

Marion Cotillard is a great actor, and Christopher Nolan knows a good take when he sees one. But in this scene we're delivered a death so ham-fisted Marion might as well have climbed out the truck and flailed around clutching her chest screaming "I'm dying! I'm dying!".

Her soft whimpers are a nice touch, but the laughably absurd slump she gives to signify her death is such bad acting we almost expect one of her eyes to comically peep open to check if everyone has turned away.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
