Which Film Ruined It? Final Destination 3 How Did It Ruin It? By depicting a horrific roller coaster crash. In a similar fashion to the Saw franchise, Final Destination prides itself on demonstrating utterly unique ways to kick the bucket. The key difference between them is that whilst the malevolent Jigsaw locks his victims in shotgun collar traps and giant furnaces, Final Destination places its characters in seemingly ordinary scenarios before allowing the ghostly hand of Death to gradually and gleefully pick them off one by one. The series has a predictable formula. One member of a youthful gang experiences a terrifying vision of their imminent fatalities, and in a bout of hysteria forces the rest of the dubious group to flee the scene. Of course, this vision comes true, and given that the gang have cheated death the grim reaper will now pursue them to ensure they receive their mortal comeuppance. The series engages in a variety of crazy death scenes, but FD3 has the audacity to completely ruin carnivals forever after depicting a chaotic roller coaster crash in its opening sequence. Everything that could go wrong, does go wrong, and each little nut and bolt that squeaks loose leads to a sickeningly gore-riddled roller coaster ride that kills everyone on board. You rely a hell of a lot on those safety bars when boarding thrill rides. Theres a moment in FD3 where they flip open and refuse to lock back into position whilst the coaster continues to bomb around the track. Its silly, but its still enough to make you think twice when lining up for a rickety roller coaster when the carnivals in town.
