The fact that Angelina Jolie is in The Eternals is as great a selling point for the movie as it is pretty much concrete evidence that she's going to die in the movie.

Jolie will play Thena, a skilled warrior who historically clashed with "main character" Ikaris (played by Richard Madden) and though these characters are "near-immortal," there's no way Jolie will have signed a multi-picture deal. Particularly as we haven't heard about it and it's usually something Marvel Studios like to shout about.

Thena's death would be a big selling point for the film too (at least after the first viewers see it and spread word), because Eternals has a slightly more difficult marketing job than any of the other Phase 4 properties and that's the kind of statement that sells second week tickets.

How Will She Die?

It barely matters, really, but it's likely we'll see some friction between Ikaris and Thena play out early on that ultimately ends in a resolution on a battlefield as they stand side-by-side against the Deviants and admit their respect for one another before - or even as - she's killed.
