9 Marvel Movie Plots That DC Should Totally Rip Off

5. The Flash - Ant-Man

The Basic Premise: When a man finds himself scientifically gifted with powers that augment his body, he strives to learn how to control them, both physically and emotionally. Meanwhile, a sinister foe seeks to harness those same powers and steal them from the hero. How DC Could Make It Better: One of the sacrifices of the more irreverent and light-hearted tone of Ant-Man was that it lacked an integrated personal stake. Scott Lang had a redemption arc concerning his daughter but the conflict was something he walked into and really belonged to Hank Pym. The Flash ought to take that premise and make it all about Barry Allen, much like the TV series has done with his mother€™s murder. To that end, superhero origins have become very tired. Evidently the Flash will need to learn how to use his powers, but that comical learning curve should not come at the expense of the other characters and the story that follows. The Flash needs to be similarly inventive with its effects. The miniature world of Ant-Man was so unique yet it also felt fleeting and under-utilized. If The Flash wants to build off of this, it needs to have its own unique take on Barry€™s super-speed and never let up with its portrayal.
