9 Marvel Movie Plots That DC Should Totally Rip Off
4. Justice League - The Avengers
The Basic Premise: A group of superheroes from disparate walks of life must come together to fend off an alien invasion that threatens all of Earth. Despite some initial friction, they realize that together they are much more capable than apart. How DC Could Make It Better: One of the natural occurrences in ensemble movies is that not everyone gets something to do. Take The Avengers for instance, where Black Widow was just there and Hawkeye was a mindless drone for the majority of the film. Its a tough thing to give every main character their own arc but if Justice League can pull it off, the team will feel like its comprised of fully-formed members. One way to shape the movie differently would be to have the characters already know each other. Rather than seeing the beginnings of the team, we could seem them well into action already, familiar with each other, creating existing dynamics within the team. Justice League would be lucky to boast a villain of Lokis caliber, but one thing they could do without is the never-ending waves of cannon fodder. No one wants to see another invasion movie where they fight millions of mindless aliens. Instead, give us a focused secondary antagonist, like a Solomon Grundy or Prometheus to occupy themselves with while the real villain is plotting.
