As we'll get to soon enough, the majority of this year's biggest blockbuster pictures have been repeatedly postponed in light of the current global health crisis making mass gatherings a major no-go for the most part.

However, some filmmakers have remarkably persevered and found a way to force their features onto the big screen. But if the box office returns for Christopher Nolan's Tenet were anything to go by, this was something of a failed experiment.

So, in an effort to bring in the dollar during the middle of an unprecedented situation, Disney opted for a different strategy when it came to the release of the live-action remake of Mulan. The House of Mouse instead chose to offer the film on their new streaming service - Disney Plus. But, this fresh feature would only be made available to those who coughed up an additional £19.99 on top of the £5.99-a-month they were already spending on the service. Needless to say, people weren't too pleased by this development.

Variety ran a poll asking fans if they'd happily pay this sum for the latest live-action Disney adventure and the results were rather damning. 85.3% voted "No", a result which will likely be reflected in the film's eventual total earnings.

But, never fear. Mulan will be available to stream as part of Disney Plus (minus the extra fee) from 4 December, but the film still won't contain everyone's favourite dragon, Mushu, or Mulan's love interest, Li Shang... which still sucks.
